8 months after reaching the cumulative sales figure of 900,000 units in India, Maruti Brezza has successfully crossed the one million or units milestone in India’s competitive utility vehicle UV market. The game changing compact SUV’s journey to 10 lakh units It took 94 months from launch on March 8, 2016, to early December 2023, which is equivalent to 7 years and 8 months.
Maruti Brezza Nears Historic Milestone: Set to Cross 1 Million Units Sold in December 2023
According to SUV Industry Data Analytics, it is estimated that Brezza has sold a total of 996,608 units since its market launch till the end of November 2023. Far from the million mark, which is likely to be crossed in the first week of December 2023, Brezza has sold 13,921 units. The average monthly sales figure is maintained which translates to 3,480 units per week or 497 units per day. Brezza is expected to sell 996,608 units from March 2016 to November 2023 which will reach the million mark in the first week of December 2023.

Maruti Brezza has achieved projected sales of 111,371 units with a monthly average of 13,921 units between April and November 2023. Maruti Suzuki India’s total utility vehicle sales including the Brezza Ertiga Frocks Grand Vitara Invicto Jimny S Cross and XL6 reached 414,631 units which 82 showing a growth of 52% YoY Notably Brezza contributes 27% to this cool making it the best selling UV model so far in this financial year
Maruti Brezza Eyes New Sales Milestone in FY 2024 Amid Intensifying Competition
If Maruti Brezza maintains its current sales pace for the remaining 4 months of FY 2024, it could potentially achieve an estimated 167,055 units which will surpass its previous fiscal high of 157,880 units in FY 2019.
Sales have been boosted by the introduction of the Brezza CNG variant in mid-March 2023 following the success of the second-generation model, launched on June 30, 2022. Prior to these developments, the Brezza faced stiff competition from the Tata Nex which is scheduled to be launched in FY2022. Only two other UVs have crossed 100,000 units Hyundai Creta (108,584 units) and Tata Punch (102,326 units) Maruti Suzuki India holds 25% share of the UV market in the period April November 2023 with sales of 414,631 units and Brezza contributes 27% to this figure
