The government removed the restrictions on BS 3 petrol and BS 4 diesel vehicles in Delhi last Monday night. This decision has been taken under the third phase of improving the air pollution level in the national capital.

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has prepared a strategy. It has been decided to withdraw the arrangements as per the third phase of the Graded Response Action Plan in Delhi and pollution affected areas to reduce pollution in Delhi and surrounding areas by withdrawing the restrictions on vehicles following this decision.

In the meeting held on January 1, the Delhi government, while reviewing the level of air pollution, decided to remove the restrictions on BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel vehicles.
